
The Custer County Sheriff's Office is located in Arapaho, Oklahoma, approximatley 85 miles west of Oklahoma City along Interstate 40, and then 4 miles north of Clinton, Oklahoma. Custer County's size is approximatley 999 square miles. Located in Custer County is the Foss State Park, which is a full facility park with camping and boating and a floating restaraunt. Also you can find the Route 66 Museum in Clinton and Southwestern Oklahoma State University and the Thomas P. Stafford Space Museum in Weatherford. There is an abundance of hunting and fishing in Custer County. Someone always brings home a trophy buck!
The Custer County Sheriff's Office is located in the Custer County Courthouse (pictured above), which was remodeled in 1984.
The Custer County Sheriff's Office is manned by Sheriff Kenneth Tidwell, and eight deputies. Other employees include 9 jailors, 7 dispatchers and one administrative assistant who also serves as a dispatcher as well.
Included in our force is 26 Reserve Officers, without whose help, the full time deputies jobs would be a lot harder. The Reserves donate their time without compensation and they are greatly appreciated.
